Thanks for the advice Sassy and Becca!
We're home now-have been for 6 hours or so. A friend came over to help calm my nerves

Emma is so tired, and hasn't moved from her blanket since I brought her home. She even stayed in her bag with the zipper down so that she could peek out on her way home-usually she tries to jump out if I leave the side zipper down!
She's drinking water and licking ice cubes, and has eaten 2-3 tablespoons of wet "chunks & gravy" food from a spoon. I was also going to try peanut butter-her favorite treat- but wasn't sure if that was ok yet or not. (It's the organic kind...any idea?) She stood for a few minutes, and is now resting peacefully on her side. She perked up when my husband (went out of town) and friend came and left-as though she wanted to greet and bid them goodbye!
She hasn't done any "business" yet-how long did it take your babies to pee and poo after surgery? I'm worried-I haven't seen her go since 7 am.
And-forgot to mention the vet did send home pain meds-but she can't have any until tomorrow morning. She also has a vet check for her incision at 10:30 AM to make sure she's all sewn up and is doing well.
Thanks again everyone for your support and advice!
