Well, when I had Louie neutered they did laser surgery so there were no stiches. He was very groggy when I picked him up and just really slept most of the day. I had a very small crate that he slept in for the first few hrs (i put it up on the couch next to me so he knew I was near) I just really wanted to be near him lol. He probobly just took a few sips of water here and there that first day. He was pretty sore and slow for a few days after, but he did have pain meds so that helped with his discomfort. Then before we knew it he was back to his ol' self again. I know how hard it is to hand them over Im sure he will be just fine, try not to worry too too much. When the vet tech came to take my puppy and bring her to be spade I was thinking to myself OMG she took my baby and I was mad at her lol then I felt stupid cause I knew i'd have to hand her over sometime.
