FWIW, I was never able to keep people from wanting to pet Lucky. He was very snippy around strangers and very protective of me. I would always warn people that he does not like strangers and WILL BITE HARD. Yet they absolutely could not help themselves. Each time he would bite them and then they would get mad at me. HELLO, I told you not to touch him. |
Sugar is like that except he doesn't bite. He gets very protective of me with strangers and can sound vicious. I always tell people, he's not very friendly but they can't resist. Then when he scares them to death they jump back all shocked. When someone tells you their dog isn't friendly ummm maybe you don't want to keep sticking your hand in the dog carrier? This just happened last weekend. My daughter had her dog Spike with us too. Spike is the sweetest dog in the world. I kept telling the lady that Spike was very sweet but Sugar was not friendly but she couldn't stop chasing him down in his bag.
