I'm glad you put that up there, it lets me know what I'll be hearing about anyway. Don't think I was angry with you!

I get a lot of flack from other dog owners for my rottie, they seem to think I'm just as bad as the people that give them a bad name. Guilt by association I suppose. I don't fight my dog or mistreat him in ANY way, he is spoiled rotten, just as much as my yorkies. Its a shame that people don't care about their animals more and respect them like they should. The consequences to those actions hurt everyone, not just that owner and dog. Dogs are accessories and status symbols now, not companions and friends.

And yes, some are mean and some are not, the ones that aren't are product of good homes. Bruno can be nasty, however I have never seen him at his breaking point. I have only seen him warn people that come up to the door or car. And even then he is selective, he usually has a reason. Just like any other dog, they are pack animals and territorial. When you threaten his leader (me) and come into his territory (our home and yard), he will respond, weather it be a friendly woof or demonic growl. It just is more meanacing coming from a 100lb Rott than a 3lb Yorkie. My Yorkies will charge, my rott stands his ground with me. I guess its a good thing that the meaner of the two breeds happens to weigh next to nothing and couldn't inflict too much damage. Otherwise we would have a problem!
no we're cool, you sound like a very responsible owner, i think rottie owners should follow in your footsteps! and good for you, for sticking up for this breed! i promise i will research the breed and come back here and post what ive learnt, then you can tell me how ive done yeah? i love projects lol
