Sorry you are having such a terrible time. Boy! It does come in bunches sometimes.
But, yes, dogs, especially our small one's and I believe yorkies in particular do feel our grief, our pain, our happiness, and our calmness. They react to us, because they are with us all of the time. They know when things aren't right and they know when things are!
