Sometimes we leave him out, other times we put him in his x pen. If we are going to be gone for an hour or more, we put him in his x pen. If we are just running to get food, going to the bank, running to the gas station, or drug store, etc....we will leave him out and he gets the house all to himself
I don't like leaving him out for too long by himself though because he is a jumper, he jumps up on EVERYTHING and I am so afraid that he may jump and fall and break his neck and I not be there
That is my worst fear. So...mainly, for safety reasons, I put him in his x pen if we are going to be gone for a long period of time
