We also use the litter box with pee-pee pads inside. its been working pretty well, but shes only been home for a few days so we'll see! She knows where its located but now is having a timing issue...
I heard that some brands of pads are scented so the puppies know what they're supposed to do on it...as soon as we brought her home she took to it right away so i'd believe it!
The pads also arent that expensive, especially if you get them from like a walmart or a target.
The only problem we have had is sometimes she tries to play and bite the corners of the pad and yesturday started pulling them out of the box...but the box i bought actually has piece that goes on top (its a cat litter box--i noticed they make different ones for cats and dogs) to keep a liner in I'm guessing, that we werent using originally but now i am to help keep her from pulling at the pad, and its working so far!
