Spaying/Neutering is occuring at a younger and younger age. I don't know what the risks are of doing it earlier or before her first heat. I'd just call your vet's office and ask what they recommend you to do. You probably could just explain the situation to them and they'll give you some advice.
Oh and be sure they use isoflorene (sp?) to put her under when they do the procedure.
