Peters: Actually I tried buying a stud (really bad experience -- I wrote about it under Breeder Reviews (Chaffins, Oklahoma) -- in a nutshell the Chaffins lied about the age of the male (i.e. said he was older than he was) and led me to believe the stud would be 2-3 lbs. This male is now an almost 9 lb. yorkie that I have had neutered. I am in Canada and shipped him up. With shipping, etc. I paid over $2000 -- so I'm not having much luck!!!
The vet that does the A.I. didn't offer any suggestions other than "Oh, she'll probably get pregnant next time". But perhaps I should visit my regular vet before losing another $500 (on top of the $800 I spent for the semen) -- I'm starting to understand why yorkie puppies can be so expensive. |
