AI isn't fool proof - I am by no means an expert and only know by what I have read and heard from breeders here. But a natural tie with a stud who's nose thinks it's the right date along with the progesterone tests is a good bet. I know that there are many puppies born from AI but like I said nothing is fool proof. I don't know what the more experienced breeders will have to say but I would try hard to see if there is any stone left unturned to find a suitable stud first in a reasonable distance from you. What does your vet say about testing to see if there is a physical problem on the part of your bitch preventing pregnancy?
