Default New behavior? New to me anyway!

OK, so I admit that most of my dogs have come to me full grown and I don't have a lot of experience with puppies but Adie (20 wks old Friday) has been doing something really strange in my opinion.

When she is playing with our big old shepherd, she usually stands lays or rolls around between his front legs while he mouths and nudges her around. They both seem to love it. For the past couple of days I have noticed Adie turning her back to him and shoving her little butt in his face (tail down). Now at twenty weeks old I am very hesitant to think that this is a mating behavior of some kind and Ivan doesn't act like it is but what else could it be??? Does she want him to bite her in the butt???? When he starts nudging her again they go right back to playing in there usual manner. They act like that was part of the playing. Cassie, the alpha in the pack (a shi tzu) never acts like that and Adie doesn't do that to her. Is it a puppy thing? A female thing?
Any opinions?
