Actually, even if you just take Thistle with you when you pick up your new puppy, I would introduce them anyplace but home. Since you have a bit older yorkie, I would definitely find anyplace else to make the intro. I'm sure they'll both be fine irregardless. Some do have problems, though. It's just good to be careful the first time.
