Default Introducing 1 Yorkie to another

Hello everyone!

I'm new to this community, but I've had my yorkie for approximately 2 years plus now.

Her name is Thistle and she's 2 years 7 months. My wife and I bought her from a pet shop(big mistake). She had some health problems in the first 2 months she was with us, but has since recovered. Thistle is sometimes picky with her food and barks a little when we leave the house. We have been correcting her behaviour with a squirt bottle, and it has helped a little. She has also received basic training and is pretty obedient most of the time. She does get very excited when she does meet other dogs on her walks, partly because she was probably separated from her mum at a young age(that's the problem with puppy mills).

Anyway, we are getting another yorkie this Friday. Her name will be Pebbles, and she is from a breeder here in Canada. Pebbles will have limited CKC(Canadian Kennel Club) registration according to the sale agreement. Pebbles' mum and brother passed away shortly after her mum gave birth because of birth complications. Pebbles had to be nursed by hand and slowly introduced to another nursing dam when she was 2 weeks old. Pebbles is currently 14 1/2 weeks and is just full of energy when we visited her. She is not the least bit scrawny, extremely friendly and outgoing. The breeder told us that she is always begging for food and is never picky with what she's given. Pebbles is also always giving away kisses like there's no tomorrow.

We are interested in learning more about how we should go about introducing Pebbles to Thistle. If anyone has anything to share, we would really appreciate it.

Thank you!
