The dull black is just the puppy coat, i shaved my pup's off b/c it was such a warm summer by me and we went to FL for 10 days so it was just a good idea. After shaving it off, i have a platnum pup, his body is platnum and his head and feet are very light tan (almost white) and it looks like he has a head band on b/c he has a line of black on his head in front of his ears
