A prospective purchaser spends such little time with the puppies prior to purchase. I know my puppies don't even act the same when people they don't know are there. I think maybe the breeder might have a better idea on the personality since she spends a lot more time with them. Sometimes a usually very active, playful pup will act completely calm and docile and a usually calm dog will bark, jump and carry on. So I would say visit the pups many times on different days at different times to learn the most about their true personalities.
