I have one foot thick rock walls as my fence and very seldom see a dog loose in my neighborhood. One of my neighbors is at least 10 feet above me on one side and the other neighbor is at least 10 feet below me since I live on a hill.
Yes, I believe they would have immunity from parvo, but not parasites like fleas, worms, giardia, coccidia, etc.
I believe in being cautious, but not paranoid. You can't exactly put them in a bubble and have all your clothes and body and the Mom's body disinfected every time you come in contact with the puppies. On the other hand, I wouldn't be taking the Mom on walks where other dogs urinate and defecate or to Petsmart, etc. Or allowing everyone to pick them up and play with them. |
