I try to take Starsky and Shylah to the park at every Lacrosse game my daughter plays. There are so many parks in my neighborhood that don't allow dogs though. I also take them to Petsmart whenever I go. I also belong to a Denver yorkie playgroup and we try to do something once a month. My family gets mad at me sometimes when I say I am taking them somewhere but I say it is good to socialize them. Here's proof.
I went into Sears this weekend and saw a couple holding a cute yorkie. I went right up to it and asked if I could pet her. I let her smell my fingers first and went to pet her head and she about bit my hand off!! She definitley was not socialized. I think dog training is good too. I have to get Shylah signed up for that. Already did it with Starsky. |
