I hate cat urine!! I have 3 cats, all of who peed everywhere when they were in heat and right after they got spayed. It is the worst smell and the hardest smell to get rid of. I have had cats all my life. None of them peed on everything like the 3 cats I have now that I got last year. I can't figure it out. I use to love cats but now I don't want anymore and get upset with the ones I have now even though I love them to death.

Alright you want to hear something horrible?? We are currently renting, it is a huge house, but has one serious downfall. The people who rented before us had cats and kept them in the basement. The basement totally reeks of cat urine, strong cat urine I may add, and when you take a black light you can see all the urine spots. The urine is soaked into the wood steps and concrete floor. What is worse is that on hot, humid, rainy, or damp days you can really smell the urine and the smell will come up from the basement and spread to the whole house!!

We have tried soooo many things to get rid of it. We are now thinking of throwing bleach on the floor and steps to get rid of the smell, it is suppose to work, but we will probably have to leave the house for a day or so to give it time to air out. We are in the process of building a home but until everything is finished we are stuck here with the dreaded smelly basement.

So, I would be very interested in whether on not the vinegar works, so please, please let me know if it works!!
