Yorkiecrazy, I know you are anxious to find some relief for your baby. Bo hasn't shown signs of allergies yet but he's only 6 months old. I have an 8 year old Schnauzer though who nibbles his hair off in a mohawk pattern on both side of his back because of extreme itching. He's never been tested for allergies. The closest place to test was about 3 hours away. We suspect he's sensitive to flea bites, corn, carpet shampoo, freshly mown grass, especially. I switched his food to a fish and pototo diet. I now have Bo on that same brand of food except in a lamb puppy formula so that he won't develop any food sensitivies. It has no preservatives or corn and they like it. Woody has had steroid shots over the last several years. They help temporarily but that's all.
I also would love to hear from anyone who has gone the allergy testing and shot route. Personally, I think it's too expensive and the results are not reliable. But I don't know that from first hand experience. Here's a recent thread on allergies that was helpful to me.

I have the Peace and Kindness spray and it has helped Woody but as long as he gets flea bites, he gets pretty miserable, and that's basically all summer where we live. I hope you can get some good advice before you have to make such a large financial commitment. Good luck.
