I also re-sized and lightened your pics and sent them back for you....
Open it and Right Click to SAVE it as a GIF ...it should default that way....
Go to user CP...(blue bar running across top of site far left)
click EDIT AVATAR
click CUSTOM AVATAR
THEN...look for this: BROWSE
and in the place where it says this:
Upload an Avatar From Your Computer: (it’s the 2nd place…not the url place)
you click on your pic and upload it -
