Default Gracie's Allergy Appointment

As some of you know, Gracie has allergy problems. And she's too sensitive to the steroid meds her vet prescribed for her. So, we were referred to the Gulf Coast Vet Specialty Clinic.

Today was her first appointment. She's going to be allergy tested on the 9th of next month. The strong suspect is airborne allergens. She also had a yeast infection between her toes due to her constantly licking her paws. She got meds for that, too.

Today, this visit cost us a total of $188. The allergy test will cost $574. After the test, she'll get shots for whatever she's allergy to. BUT, those shots may take up to a year to become effective. In the meantime, the vet will put her on some steroid free meds to keep her comfortable.

If anyone else has had experience with this, please feel free to offer more information about what ya'll went through in your case. We would really appreciate more stories about it.
