I know (now) Venus's crate was way too big when I put her in it. Mine came with a divider (some place boxes in there too), so I made it just big enough to stand, and turn around in. Nothing in there but bed, and a few toys.

I also put the crate by my bed at night, and when she wakes me I take her out.

I keep her in a pen in the kitchen with a pee pad at one end, her bed, food and toys at the other end. I have to watch her close when she's in her pen, cause she's a little climber!

When I have to go off, I crate her. Soon as I get home, we go outside.

I also praise her a lot when she potties outside, and give her a treat for it. Soon as she potties, she comes straight to me for that treat now, lol.

She does really good with the pee pads for peeing, but is 50/50 on there for poop. Something we need to work on for sure.

I tried giving her "full kitchen rites" but had to revoke them due to pooping on the floor instead of a pee pad.

I know starting her out in really small areas, did help tremendously. X-Pens are great for this, if they aren't climbers!

Something else I did, was look all over this forum in training section, reading every post on potty training, and especially the replies. I got a lot of tips that way too!
