Sissy did that to mine earlier this Spring. It was just a day before my yearly eye appointment. Same thing, the cat knocked my glasses off my dressing table and They were scratched so badly, of course directly in the center of my field of vision. Thank goodness I had another pair. But just to replace the lenses in these glasses was $450 ($ went up cause I'm now in progressive lenses!)!!
