I'm at home full time so mine seemed to train easy, but what I did is just take them for a short walk around the yard once an hour and tell them they were good dogs when they pottied out side. If I would happen to catch them "going" inside I would stop them right away and take them out right away. If you are using piddle pads what you can do is take the paper towel that you used to clean up the piddle with and put them on the piddle pad to help it start to smell like the right spot. If your dog seems to keep going in the same spot I would just stick a pad over that spot and see if he will go on it then. If he does I would leave one there for a couple of days and then slowly start moving it where you want it a little bit at a time. the easiest way for us to get our male to go out side was to let Roxi out first and then place him near where she went and he would mark where she had went.
Best of luck to you
