I have the small one and Sugar is 3 lbs. He has enough room in it to be comfy when we're out shopping but it would be too cramped for a plane trip. If you think Teddy will get much bigger than 3 lbs, I'd say get the larger one. My daughter's 4 lb yorkie would not be comfortable in the small bag. Here's Sugar in his. He actually has more room than it looks. He has a really thick coat so he's really all hair in these pictures.
