Deus had the endoscopy which showed he did not have stricture. He was put on medications to help heal the esophagus and to date he is doing better. We removed the feeding tube on Thursday. He is able to eat watered down a/d food and is having to be held upright for a few minutes after he eats. I was told that the esophagus takes a long time to heal but that there may have also been nerve damage from the surgery. If the nerves do not regenerate he will have to be held upright everytime he eats. Other than this, he is slowwwwly becoming his usual spunky self again. Each day we applaud even the smallest of progression.
