I am a Vet assistant and I am still stumped I have never actually had to potty train a puppy before need some advice please.

If where he goes potty is not a convenient place, you could try to put it there for a couple days, then move it a little each day. This is what we did with Ferdinand as recommended by a trainer. (Of course you would have to deal with it being in an inconvenient place for a couple days) We got him when he was only 8.5 weeks old and he figured it out right away... now getting him to only go outside is a whole different story!!
