My pup isn't afraid of other dogs at all - he is excited to run up and greet any dog - but he is very submissive and flops over on his back.

I posted this earlier and have been thinking that it probably is good if these little guys do have respect and perhaps "even a little fear" of strange, larger dogs. This may save their life one day - or keep them from being injured.

***** Especially - some of the very tiny little dogs that some of you have.
Being a little fearful - may mean they're a little "smarter."

**I had a little mixed breed that constantly bothered and nipped the hind legs of a gentle older golden lab that used to come around and visit a lot. And you guessed it, , one day he finally had enough (I'm sure her nipping hurt him) --so he turned around and nipped her. It didn't really hurt her - but she kept a little more distance after that. Live and learn! Right!
