we just went through it last week. it was hard seeing her so 'helpless' and tired for the first few days. Heartbreaking actually.

She tried to get up the first night when I came home from work but was so wobbly. Think of a newborn girraffe but keep her from doing this if possible. As everyone suggested to me, get a preemie onesie instead of a buster collar, works wonders although your baby is 1/2 the wt of mine. Instead of walking her outside to do her biz, I carried her to a nearby pad. She could barely keep herself up for long the first few days. Keep an eye out for pain indications (ours wined very slightly) or trembling. One day 1, she peed standing up, prob. cause she couldn't squat. poor thing! Buy pain meds!!! they'll need it.

we fed her the soft canned food Innova since it's all ground up and baby food, read the ingredients. then day 3, we wet all her dry kibble really well. Have a syringe ready to syringe water in their mouth since they can't get up.

She will be up and about in no time! Good luck with everything!
