Steph - thank God you didn't go ahead and get a puppy from Denise. I absolutely understand how she could have had you fooled into thinking she was reputable. That's what happened to my friend, as well. She is very personable, and talks a good talk about loving her dogs. Who knows, maybe she does love the breed - but she is a dishonest and irresponsible breeder who has sold many sick puppies to people who trusted her. My friend is not the only one this has happened to. She has spoken to several others who could tell you heartbreaking stories about the health problems they have to deal with from dogs they purchased from Denise.
Not sure what else we can do to warn people other than this posting on the Yorkietalk message board and Steve's posting on his breeder referral list. If you think of anything - let me know, or feel free to PM me.
