I keep my boy in what I call a puppy cut. Whoever said to specify is right!! If I can offer any advice it is to do a HUGE search for pictures of something you like. There are always pictures of Yorkies on here with puppy cuts. Take that to your groomers and tell them o do that. I learned the hard way that what I thought was a puppy cut was not what the groomer and I were both thinking of. Now I take pictures and I have never been disappointed.

Also to answer your original question, I take Murphy about every 2 months to keep him short all over.
