I'm really not sure when Sissy started sleeping through the night. She always slept in the downstairs bathroom where she had a bed, food/water and wee wee pads. She would always cuddle in bed with us as we were winding down and watching TV before I would let her outside one more time (around 9:45) and then put her in her room.
She started sleeping with us around 10 months. She knows when she wants to get into bed and start relaxing - normally around 9:00. She still goes out again right before we turn the lights out and the only time she has ever gotten us up during the night was after the toad incident. We regularly get up at 5:15am, so she goes right out then, but if someone stays in bed, she will come right back in and sleep as long as you do (weekends till 9:00am).
If you think he just wants to come in bed with you, why not try it one night and see how it goes??
