I think people buy online for the same reasons they would buy from a pet store - Cheaper and less personal involvement (ie the breeder wanting to check if you are the "right" sort of person).
Also bear in mind if you pay by credit card your credit card company will most likely help you recover your money.
I'm not saying I agree with this form of "purchasing" but I can understand why folks do it. |
There are a lot of good reasons for buying on line. But I would wnat to know the reputation of the breeder first, and make sure yhou are buyhing from a breeder rather than a broker.
I had Chachi shipped from CA to IA because I wanted a parti carrier, and I will also be getting a parti colred female as soon as my name gets to the top of the list.
If the breeder has a good reputation, you can be sure that
1 they are breeding quality dogs with good dispositions
2 Their dogs are in the home and well socialized
3 they do not breed dogs with genetic health issues
4 they stand behind their dogs
5 they will replace them if you find that the dogs personality is not compatible with your life style.
Never buy from a breeder that you know nothing about, whether they are local or over the internet.
