I just did it for my friend for 12 days. All I can say is uggg...the pay sounds good, but here you are a contractor, so you are responisible for making sure you don't spend the money you need to give the IRS for taxes.

I'm not good at that.
I had to get up and be there by 2 a.m. (I delivered an avg of 144 papers during the week and 160 to 190 on Fri/Sat/Sun). It took about 45 mins+ to bag and rubberband the papers. You have a deadline of 5:30a.m. to have the papers delivered by. Frequently our papers didn't arrive until 3 and the deadline would be pushed an hour. I spent over $300 in gas alone.
So you finish by 5:30-6:30, you then go home shower, got to work, get home, do house chores, cook, deal with dogs and kids. Finally sleep by 10 or 10:30 only to have to get up at 1:00 am to make coffee and get to papers by 2am. There were some nights I didn't even go to sleep because I figured sleeping for 2 hours would just make me even more tired.
About 3 days into this I became extremely sleep deprived. I started falling asleep at my 8 to 5 job. It was grueling. My daughter and her friend helped, which was great, because they got to run the papers up all the stairs. (we did a lot of apartments).
Anyway, just some things to think about. The girl I substituted for has a baby and her and her husband share the route.
I too could use the extra income, but I don't know, I'm not convinced it was worth it.
