Living in WI I know that Yorkies don't do that great in the cold. At least not my little guy... As for as going to the lake your baby should be fine as long as have plenty of water, keep cool, and have some type of shade for her. I would think that children's sunscreen would be fine, you might just want to call the vet. Have fun!!
