Schatzie uses both, potty pads and outside. Mostly potty pads however because the temps are cooling down/rain, etc.

However, she concerned me last weekend. We took a day drive. Her last potty time was like 11:30. Each hour we pulled over to let her sniff outside on a grassy safe area and she never pee'd. This went on all day and yet no potty from her. So, we made it home appx. 5:00 pm and she was placed in her play cage w/ her potty pad on one end and she pee'd immediatley.

So, I have found that now she only pee's on the potty pad, in her own yard outside or when where we camp as she has acclimated our site as her own.

I am not sure if this is normal for dog's to not like to pee away from there own area. I would think they would jump at the chance to "mark their territory". But, Schatzie is only 5 months so I guess she isn't in to "marking" yet.

Sure made me worry about her going all day like that without going...

Bless her heart. Maybe she thought other grass had germs on it.
