Personally I wouldn't use ANY kind of a collar on a small dog. My neighbor uses the invisible fence for their Lhasa which works fine for them..Lhasa's have a thicker neck then a yorkie. If it is really necessary for you to put a collar such as this on a small dog one word of warning....I would remove it if you are having an electrical storm. Dogs have gotten electricuted when wearing these collars...
