Hi! and welcome. Sorry that your puppy is going through the skin problem. I would try emu oil or tea tree oil to see if it help with the skin. If that doesn't work than you might have to request medicated shampoo from your vet probably Virback. As for the the nails I think the sooner the better but you might have to introduce him over a course of days to whatever it is you are going to use to trim them.
