I've never used dental floss, if you crimp the cord with the hemostat, then cut on the OPPOSITE side of the belly of the pup, then smoosh down on the cord with the towel, you should seal the cord. Make sure it is an inch or further from the belly of the pup.

where would I get the calsorb, dopram, or oxytocin?
is that provided at the vet? I know my vet said to bring her in for a shot of oxytocin if there are any complications.
