I asked this exact same question before, if you want to search my posts and read the responses I got.

Since obviously the chart is just a rule of thumb, there were people whose dogs ended up being smaller than indicated on the chart, and people whose dogs ended up being bigger, etc...

....but the general consensus was that adding about a lb. to the ultimate weight made the chart more accurate for most of us.
