I know that it was hard for you to go through what you did with Lowie but could you take comfort in the fact that you made his last days easier. Wouldn't you have hated for him to spend his last days in the shelter with no one to love him (or probably get him treatment either)?
We all take a risk when we love but the alternative is always worse. I hope that people will continue to reach out & rescue these poor dogs for however little time they have left.
