You definitely are NOT overreacting! My chihuahua weighs 3 1/2 pounds and it seemed to take her at least a good week to recover. I actually had to take her back to the vet for fluids because she refused to eat or drink or even walk. I was so worried about her that I posted on here for advice. My vet said the tinier they are the more they hurt because there just isn't any room inside of her, compared to a bigger dog, for the surgeon to be able to work.
Call your vet because you'll feel better after talking to them or after they see her if you bring her in to be checked.
