Yes, it is normal. However, you are going to have to seperate them for numerous reasons. I'd seperate them now and only let them together when she is ready to breed. Get him to eat something, even if it is Nutri-Cal. You won't want them to tie without you knowing exactly when and how many times. You also don't want the breedings too far apart. I breed one day, skip a day, breed the next....then its done. When she has the puppies, she won't want the male anywhere NEAR her new babies. She will strike like a Viper at first and it will really stress her out.
