She may not have known how to play during her life before you. I'd say just to rub her a lot, pet her, say happy things, and just let her ease into it. If she likes to lay a lot, just snuggle up to her, and play with her with your hands. Then perhaps later you can add a towel or sock or something soft (and not threatening) and see if she wants to play with that, and then go from there. I'm sure KC is getting a lot of love from you, she just may not be used to all the attention and love yet.
