I looked around my area and found a few for 700-800 but they didn't look like a pure yorkie, I think some where down their line they had been mixed(plus no papers). When I found Rhonda through someone on here she had the perfect little girl, and thankfully she was within 3 hrs of me in Morgantown,WV. I payed $1,400 for Lily, she was a little more because she is really small. Also the breeder was wonderful, explained all of my concerns with a small one, had akc papers(she even made Lily a birth certificate) and she had very happy, healthy dogs. The fact that I knew I was getting a healthy tiny one made it easier to pay that much. And for Lily to be as small as she is I have had no problems at all out of her(except she is as rotten as can be). I originally didn't want one as small as Lily but the breeder put me at ease about all of my concerns. The breeder was going to breed her but she was going to be too small, Lucky me!! I think is depends on where you live as to how much a Yorkie goes for. They are hard to find in my area, so when you find them to the yorkie standard you have to pay for it. I could have gone with the ones I found that were cheaper(and not to yorkie standard) but they weren't what I hard my heart set on. I knew in my mind what I was wanting and found it in Lily. A pet is in your life a long time, if they are healthy, and I personally can't put a price on that.
