It really depends on the temperature and the surface you are walking on. After your yorkie has had all of his shots, take him out and see what he can do. It really takes them awhile to get to an age where they are even interested in anything outside their own little world, but once they do become interested, watch out! Actually, most want to take it slow and sniff and investigate - everything in the world is new to them - they are learning. In hot weather, be very careful of the surface they are walking on. Don't want to burn their foot pads. You want to remember that they can overheat before you realize they are that hot. So, do be careful. In the winter, be careful not to keep them out too long.
