I agree with everyone. If you just want a companion then it does not matter how much you pay as long as they are healthy. Mine was going for $600, but we paid $550 because there were 3 friends/coworker wanting to buy one so they gave us a discount
So far, knock on wood, she has been healthy. The breeder was not a reputable breeder, but she bought her dog from a reputable breeder. That made me comfortable buying from her knowing that her dog has good health. Some people might disagree with not buying from a reputable breeder, but she looks pretty close to the standard yorkie.
