Default Rally-O

Rally is building on basic obedience; you can talk to your dog the whole time, use treats, and guide him/her with body language. It concentrates more on quick, incisive movements than it does on 'perfect' sits and finishes. Those will count more at higher levels, but at the beginning, it is more important the dog and you have fun doing it, rather than seeking perfection. Kia and I had only practiced at one class before our first trial; she earned a leg immediately. The important thing is to Read The Station Carefully, think it through as you direct your dog. In trials, there are 18 or 19 stations, all to be completed in three minutes, but while learning, Take Your Time, so that you both learn it well!

ALSO-when trialling, remember to Follow The Numbers, as off-course is a disqualification.

HAVE FUN!
