It does sound like your baby is growing up and having her first heat.

The first part of the heat cycle is called the PROESTRUS, you will see discharge and bleeding, your girl will not allow mating during this stage (no excuse keep her safe

The secong part of the heat is called the estrus and can last from 4 to 21 there will be hardly any visible bleeding. But this is the time she will be acceptable to mating.
Then the final stage is diestrus where once again she will not allow any mating.
About 7 months from the start of this heat, she will have her next heat cycle and you have to do it all again!
