Welcome to YT. I could not possibly say anything negative towards the Yorkie breed. They are awesome!!
They do thrive on plenty of attention and I personally love their neediness.
The puppy cut is a great cut for them and causes no danger. Of course any breed you would not want outside in the elements unprotected. But a puppy cut is easier to maintain then the long full growth coat.
There affection towards their owners is so very loyal and loving.
